My Story

From an early age, Tristan learnt that life wasn't always going to be fair.

Diagnosed with bone cancer at just 9 years old, requiring an above-the-knee leg amputation and extensive chemotherapy, Tristan's life was held in the balance.

Despite a positive recovery journey, Tristan relapsed at 11 years old, this time with a more life-threatening form of lung cancer. Tristan had to fight for his life all over again, and thankfully he won.

From these incredibly challenging experiences, Tristan learned the lessons of strength and resilience in the face of adversity and gained a deep understanding of the preciousness of life that not all human beings go on to learn. It is this perspective that has allowed him to achieve ultimate success and live a life full of purpose and meaning.

With an unbeatable growth mindset, a love for life and an unwavering determination to succeed, he has learnt that no hurdle or scenario is too big to conquer.

Tristan has gone onto to become one of the world's best wheelchair basketball players, having won Paralympic Gold and become a back-to-back world champion where he now captains the Australian Men's Wheelchair Basketball team ahead of his 6th Paralympic Games in Paris.

He has taken the lessons that only someone can learn from facing death, along with those acquired from an elite sports career spanning over 20 years, and now also leads of a team of financial advice professionals so they too can thrive and push themselves to levels not dreamt possible.
